“I’m a theatre practitioner and poet with more than thirty years experience of working in experimental and community theatre, as director, performer and writer. What I love more than anything is collaborating with other artists, especially in disciplines that are unfamiliar to me, and creating new, hybrid forms of performance. I am currently the artistic director of Anglo-French production company Théâtre Volière. I am a winner of the UK’s Ledbury Poetry Competition and have been runner up in the Strokestown, Poetry London, Essex Poetry Festival, Live Canon and Iota competitions.
My work has appeared in many publications, including Poetry Ireland Review, Poetry London, Ambit, Acumen, Magma, The Interpreter’s House and Poetry Salzburg Review. I have translated Albert Giraud’s Pierrot Lunaire for Théâtre Volière and La Soupe’s collaboration Evocation, and the work of C. P. Cavafy for Alex Roth and Savina Yannatou’s song cycle and performance Ionic. My work features in the Hwaet anthology from Bloodaxe books and, in collaboration with George Szirtes, Dominic Bury, and Katie Hale, in the Marchland collection Customs and Duty.”
